DR SUZI CRAIG
Chinese Medicine | Acupuncture
Suzi is a holistic practitioner who supports the importance of understanding your own health. She is passionate about integrating Chinese medicine philosophies with western medicine understanding, as well as providing you with the tools to be able to notice when your own body needs some self care and guidance.
Who is Suzi
Suzi is a qualified Chinese Medicine practitioner registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Assoc.) and the CMBA (Chinese Medicine Board of Australia), as a Herbalist and Acupuncturist. She studied in both Melbourne (RMIT University) and China (Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine) completing a double degree in Applied Science (Chinese Medicine and Human Biology). She is also a member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association.)
Suzi’s strong interest in Woman’s health and family planning has guided her continued professional development in this field, though it has also led her to identify and support other key areas of the body including digestive function and gut support, thyroid and hormonal dysfunction, as well as supporting emotional and mental health.
Following graduation Suzi had the privilege of working in a busy Chinese medicine clinic that focused on the support of natural and assisted fertility treatments. This gave her the experience and confidence to support woman and couples through their fertility journey.
Her own clinical experience has also developed her understanding and knowledge of integrating Chinese medicine practices alongside assisted reproductive therapies and she is sensitive of where a patient may be up to in their cycle and the appropriation of some of her treatments. Suzi isn’t affiliated with any of the IVF clinics through Canberra/ Sydney/ Melbourne and has an understanding of the different protocols and therapies used.
Passionate about integrative medicine Suzi has worked alongside and referred to a number of medical professionals around Canberra and welcomes this continued support.

What to Expect in a Treatment
Chinese medicine is more than acupuncture, though this is usually the main form of treatment. An initial consultation will consist of a thorough discussion around your main complaint, followed by a treatment plan and discussion around the expectations we might see as treatment progresses.
The treatment plan may incorporate any of the following:
• Herbal medicines and supplements (Suzi only uses products of the highest quality and TGA approved ingredients from reputable distributors.)
• Cupping/ Moxibustion
• Diet and lifestyle advice
• Meditation/ mindfulness techniques
The number of treatments depend on the condition and will be discussed during the outline of your treatment plan.
*Please note: Suzi is aware of fear surrounding needles, having overcome her own needle phobia. This has enabled her to be compassionate and sensitive of patient’s comfort when it comes to acupuncture. If this is an issue holding you back Suzi is happy to discuss this further with you prior to your appointment. If it is also preventing you from seeking Chinese medicine therapies please be aware other modalities on can still be very beneficial.
